This is our updated team picture. It doesn't look like we have grown much but with our team builder, we realized that we have grown as team more than I could explain. When we started FLL, we didn't even know easy things about each other such as favorite colors and now we can talk to each other without even making noise. By Natalie

We have been working really hard on the mission called Opening Doors. We working on using our robotic arm. We also had to learn how to program the EV3 robot. We have completed the changing conditions mission. By Natalie

The board is done being built so we are ready to start programming and adding attachments. We named our robot, “Candy”. Our project is prospering and Elsa and Natalie are working on a little skit so we can present our project. Jozze and Caroline are working on the poster and I am working on the website. One man who was testing our project, at first couldn’t find the enter button on the computer keyboard, but before long, he was able to make words show on the screen! We were able to remember all 8 core values since a long time ago. We have found a way to split the work equally for the project. Our two hour practices have started and we are benefiting from them. Our team is working hard to finish everything before the competition on December 6th. Our robot has big wheels that we doubled up. We are going to make her a robotic arm. That is all for now and I know you can’t wait for the next blog entry to come out. By Isaac

Blog by Jozee

This week we finished our first mission which was Communication.  We have started on our second mission, the Robotic Arm. We have also had many team discussions about our website, project, and robot. One discussion we had was about our wheels on our robot. We had to change our wheels because they were rubbing up against our robot. Issac also finished Lesson 2 on our website. We also discussed our project. Elsa had many wonderful ideas like a puppet show, game show and skit. We are still deciding on what we want to do. By Jozee

We have been working on our mission, the communicator. Our project is a website that will teach people how to program in python 2.5. The website is called Snake Byte. We decided on our robot design. We are using parts of a robot made last year and we are planning to add onto it. It will give us a big head start in building the robot. We don’t know what we are going to name our robot yet. Our team gets to use the new Evaluation 3 or EV3 robot. We are still waiting for our shirts to get here. We might enter the Prairie Competition which starts on December 6th. So far everything is going good! By Isaac

This week we decided what we are going to build. We started building a model called communication. I think our robot might have to go to it and pick something up. We also interviewed Mr. Stadelmann. We learned lots of valuable information that will definitely contribute to our theme question. We are off to a great start. This is going to be lots of fun. By Elsa!

This week we have been working on experts. We decided who we would like to interview. We had a lot of fun doing the second team builder. In this team builder, we taped a piece of paper on our backs and we had to write something nice about each other. We had to make sure we wrote on each team member within five minutes. We have also been researching our list of questions. By Natalie

Blog by Caroline

My team is The Lemonheads. The team members are as follows: Caroline (me), Elsa, Jozee, Natalie, and Isaac. This is a picture of our team:

We were not always The Lemonheads. First we were ‘The Fire-Breathing Rubber Duckies, but we decided that we didn’t like that name. Then we were ‘The Final Nerd Herd’, but there were already two ‘Nerd Herd’ teams. Next we were ‘The Geek Squad’, but we decided we didn’t like that name either. Finally we ended up as ‘The Lemonheads’ because Isaac loved the name. We all voted on the name and love it too. We chose Elsa’s t-shirt design because we all agreed that it was our favorite. This is her design:
